Kafala system. Not allowing access to disposable income, withholding passports. argued to be a modern form of slavery. Often used as a form of structural violence, where laws strip away rights.

Direct violence manifests of actual acts of taking away possessions or causing physical abuse, cruel and unusual punishment, more likely to be sexually abused or killed.
