The question of how to act if military resistance (like Taliban) fires from residential apartment, firing missiles from a hospital parking lot.

Michael Walzer: Just & Unjust Wars, Updated

Which perspective is just war theory coming from – usually western - justifying civilian deaths if it is at the hands of the US army or the IDF

Both IDF and American military have used to justify destruction of schools, hospitals, and other major infrastructure

Perspective of those that have power

Just war can be problematic if it is not universal, if it is just depends on the perspectives and who we a re hearing from, and how the other side is described

International law says it is contrary - civilians cannot be considered enemies, a difference between civilians and soldiers

What is Moral and what is Just

Even this guy justifies Israel preemptive strike, but largely seen as illegal

A question without clear answer, but to analyze who is taking the brunt of the risk and whose perspective is it

can call all these illegal, but if not enforced then it doesn't mean much

Are humans inherently violent? or is it scarcity of resources or social experiences (aka become violent)? Philosophical debate.

Those who do see as violent put more focus on prisons and policing

Others that think of being inherently good put more effort into rehabilitation and schools and other things

Often perspective of just war of conflict will be decided by power - those with greater influence will justify the war. If we see the perspective from the aggressor or victim

War in Iran adds risk and uncertainty for a country that doesn't want it – China depends on stability for its factorial scale
